Official 2012 AGA Cup Point System

AGA Nation,

For our 2012 Season we are very excited to announce the AGA Cup. The AGA Cup Trophy and monetary award will be handed out after the season ending AGA Cup Tournament. Entry in the AGA Cup Tournament will be based upon points accumulated throughout the 2012 season. The top 16 Point holders will be entered into the AGA Cup Tournament. Points will be awarded for AGA tournament participation, and placement in each of those tournaments. Points will be awarded based upon the following breakdown:

Tournament Participation = 1,000 points

1st Place = 450 points
2nd Place = 325 points
3rd Place = 225 points
4th Place = 150 points
5th Place and ties= 100 points

A Flight AND B Flight placements will earn points based upon the point scale above.

Entry into the AGA Cup Year-End Tournament will be based upon the top 16 point holders REGARDLESS of which Flight the golfer belongs in. In the event of point ties, ties will be decided according to the following:

1. Highest number of AGA tournaments entered
2. Lowest NET scoring average in participating tournaments
